Amanda founded studio∙3 in 2002 after 10 years in the fitness industry. She realized the importance of bringing fitness to a more personal and private setting where she could educate and inspire clients to achieve all of their fitness goals. Amanda began her STOTT PILATES training in 2002 and immediately saw the value of this form of exercise. Amanda is a fully certified STOTT Level II instructor and has completed her Injuries and Special Populations training.
In addition, Amanda is an ACE certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor. The strong belief that fitness can influence the body, mind, and spirit led to the opening of studio∙3 and continues to be Amanda’s training philosophy and the drive of the studio.
Angela fell in love with yoga from her first Downward Dog. Looking for a new way to physically challenge herself, she found Forest Yoga. She finds joy in the strong physical aspects and the feeling of movement and freedom that yoga and Pilates offer. She enjoys playing her edge in her practices, finding out exactly what her body is capable of.
Through her yoga and Pilates, Angela has learned to truly celebrate the beauty of life and the present moment. She has completed the Forest Yoga Teacher Trainings and is working on becoming a certified STOTT PILATES instructor.
Jill Andrews fell in love with fitness and movement as a child studying ballet and other forms of dance from a young age. Today she remains passionate in promoting age-appropriate movement for children as the Director of the Young Children’s Division of Capital City Dance Center. Jill graduated with high distinction earning Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Dance from the University of Iowa.
Jill’s performing experience includes six seasons with Bermuda Civic Ballet where she preformed corps and soloist roles in ballets such as La Sylphide, Les Sylphides, Giselle, La Peri, Sylvia, Symphonic Dreams, and Memories. She trained at the School of Russian Ballet in Bermuda where Moira Stott started her dance training as a child and young teen. With over 20 years of choreographic and dance instruction behind her, she is excited to put together individualized Pilates programs for adult clients at Studio 3 that effectively address their particular needs. Jill has completed STOTT PILATES mat and reformer training and will continue to work toward earning full certification.
Equipment needed for class
Studio∙3 provides the equipment for all its clients. However, clients interested in STOTT PILATES matwork classes should provide their own exercise mat. Mats can be purchases through Studio∙3.
What to wear
Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable fitness clothing that is not too bulky. The instructor should be able to see your form and posture as you move through the exercises. It may be helpful if you wear something that is slightly fitted.
